DESCRIPTION:Wednesdays 6th & 13th May 2026: 9.30am – 1.30pm \nThe level 2 workshop is conducted over 2 days.  You must attend both sessions to receive your certificate. \nYou will learn the signs and symbols from Stages 3 and 4\, and the rest of the Additional stage\, of the Core Vocabulary. You will learn more about the importance of symbols and how to personalise the vocabulary to meet the needs of the individuals in your family or your workplace. \nYou will receive a workshop manual\, which includes the Makaton symbols and signs that you learn in the workshop.  You will also be given a certificate of attendance. Please remember to keep your Level 2 training certificate in case you want to attend further Makaton training. \nCost: £90  per person online (includes participant manual and certificate)

DESCRIPTION:Thursday 7th & 14th May 2026 9.30am – 1.30pm \nThe level 4 workshop is conducted over 2 days.  You must attend both days to receive your certificate.\n\nThe Level 4 workshop builds on the skills that you will have acquired in Level 3 and goes into more depth when thinking about interpretation\, translation and adapting your communication to keep things simple. You will learn the final stages of the Core Vocabulary; Stages  7 and 8\, with a particular focus on ‘time’ concepts .\n\nThe Level 4 workshop is made up of 2 modules.  Participants must have completed the Level 1 -3 workshops.  You will receive a workshop manual which includes the Makaton symbols and signs that you learn in the workshop. You will also be given a certificate of attendance. DESCRIPTION:Wednesdays 20th May 2026: 9.30am – 2.00pm \nUsing Makaton with Singing\nUsing Makaton with Singing is a fun and easy way to learn to use signs with singing for young children. Signing and singing have been shown to encourage the development of communication and language skills and are beneficial for vocalisation\, confidence\, social skills\, emotional development\, well-being and self-esteem. \nThe 3 hour workshop is divided into four lively practical sessions covering:\nWhat is Makaton?\nTips for Signing\nDeveloping skills through signing and singing\nUsing Makaton in my setting\nThe workshop is designed for those who work with early years children.  You do not need to have any prior experience of using Makaton and/ or singing.  Alternatively\, you may already be using Makaton or have an interest in signing and want the opportunity to use Makaton while singing. \nYou will receive a Using Makaton with Singing workshop manual which includes the signs and symbols that you have learned.  You will also be given a certificate of attendance. \nCost:  £45 per person
